For several weeks now, information has been agitated more than ever around the Call of Duty license, and more particularly around what will be the next title . And through the quarterly report , Activision has decided to say a little more about it .
The Call of Duty of redemption?
We know it only too well, the latest Call of Duty are more and more shunned, and more particularly since the release Call of Duty: Vanguard which saw the light of day last November. With fairly thin sales, it seems that Activision is more than ever determined to raise the bar and above all to win back its players, and for this, the studio has announced that the next title will be " the most successful to date ".
Still according to Activision, players will therefore have the right to a more than successful title, with an experience that will also be the most advanced in the history of the franchise . As for its identity, doubt is really no longer allowed since the developers have declared that it was the sequel to Modern Warfare released in 2019. It is therefore indeed the remake of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 .
The return of a key character?
It was on April 22 that social networks ignited. If we know that the Infinity Ward studio will be at the helm of Modern Warfare 2, it will not have taken long for players to discover a first clue about one of the game's characters. that the profile picture are quite dark images, borderline black, some smart guys had the brilliant idea to take these and light them up as much as possible. This is how the magic happened!
Once the banner is lit, we then see a silhouette there, but not just any silhouette since it is that of Simon “Ghost” Riley, one of the franchise's key characters.
Regarding the profile photo, when we light it up, there too we find once again the character of Ghost . We can therefore expect a resounding return of the latter in Modern Warfare 2, to our delight.
