We were talking to you a few days ago about the streamer The Baus, currently in South Korea. A great fan of the strat inting Sion, he managed to rise to the Challenger rank of the Korean server - some have even speculated that he was at the origin of the champion's future nerf, a nerf that will affect his passive and therefore his zombie form.
But this famous strategy played him a bad trick. The streamer was banned for a ranked match where he played with League of Legends GOAT Faker.
We do not feed with Faker
When The Baus realized he was on the same team as Faker, he was just happy, knowing that the T1 mid laner probably had no idea who he was. He therefore wanted to make a good impression on him and promised himself not to feed (quite the opposite of his preferred strategy). But what had to happen happened, and our streamer fed like never before ending the game (lost) with the sad score of 2/18/9.
When leaving the scoreboard after this defeat, he receives an instant message telling him that his account is banned.
The Baus was quick to say it was a "misunderstanding" and that he hadn't been banned for "inting" . There would be no direct relationship between his ban and his poor score.
According to The Baus, the ban was actually tied to standard Korean server security protocols . The account had been locked for reasons outside of feeding. An automated system blocked him because he had detected a possible account theft – as indicated by the message in Korean when he tries to log in.
It should be remembered that Riot Games has implemented specific measures on the Korean server – in particular to fight against illegal Chinese bets which were spoiling the professional games. Malicious individuals embedded themselves in high ELO games and managed to influence the outcome by feeding a team. Since then, an automatic system has been put in place to detect this kind of anomaly and automatically ban suspicious accounts. The Baus most likely paid the price. While it's true that he often feeds with his Sion, this score is probably one of the worst he's ever gotten — which probably triggered the automatic system.
Since this incident, his ban has been revoked . It remains to be seen whether his Inting Sion strat will still be functional after the patch 12.9 nerf. In the worst case, he won't be able to play his favorite champion anymore, and in the best, he will choose other champions with whom he will not display a moldy KDA - which could save him future bans.
