Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. But one of these characters is pissing off most gamers right now...
Donald, constantly pissed off?
Iconic character of Walt Disney, Donald was precisely designed in order to counterbalance the kindness and the slender voice of Mickey. Thus, the duck seems permanently grumpy and gets angry very quickly, so much so that his "grouching" has become legendary. The problem is that in the game Disney Dreamlight Valley, the developers at Gameloft probably wanted to wink at Donald's way of getting angry. So far, nothing too bad except that in early access, the title still has some notable bugs . The most disabling is obviously the one that prevents the player from picking up a quest item, but another is much more unbearable.
If you managed to unlock Donald in the game, thanks to Kristoff's quest, you will quickly realize that the duck is very often angry . He then begins an animation where he drops to the ground and slides while making an angry locomotive noise (like in the cartoons).
How to solve this bug?
This is so unbearable that a patch will obviously be made to correct the bug. Normally, Donald is only supposed to get angry if he bumps into a piece of furniture or if you push him too long like in Animal Crossing New Horizons for example. Currently, the only solution is to lower the voice volume in the settings. This is not a big loss since the dialogues of the characters are limited to a few "hello" and other "how are you?" as we said in our test.
Another bug also affects Donald and more particularly the quest where you have to pick up your trophies in his house. One of the items is unfortunately stuck and few players have managed to complete the mission because of this. Don't worry, the developers are also on the job and an update should be deployed soon. Don't forget that a free content update is also planned for the fall with the Lion King.
