The Guerilla Games studio, responsible for Horizon Zero Dawn and its sequel Horizon Forbidden West , has posted 17 job offers for a new "online project". It would indeed seem that the developers of the adventures of Aloy already have the future games of the series in mind
A new game in the universe of Aloy
“Guerrilla is looking for a Lead World Designer to expand the Horizon universe to a multiplayer audience ,” reads one of the job postings posted by the development studio. Another job posting reads, "Guerrilla is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Combat Designer to help create a variety of enemies [...] to fight cooperatively."
Other details can also be found in Guerilla's professional announcements: a Narrative Designer will have to "tell a deep and complex story", and the author will have to "present compelling ideas for quests, factions and scenarios". These elements suggest that it will therefore be a game with narrative content similar to the main series.
A Horizon MMO?
Guerrilla Games has since officially confirmed that they are working on a multiplayer game set in the same world as the other Horizon games, and that it will feature an all-new character cast and art style. Guerrilla also explains in their Twitter post that the studio "continues to create epic single-player adventures for Aloy."
Decidedly, the development studio is not idle at the end of the year. After announcing Horizon: Call of the Mountain , a virtual reality version of the post-apocalyptic series on PSVR 2 in February , Guerrilla therefore suggests that in addition to what strongly resembles an MMO Horizon, a third game belonging to the main and possibly sequel series of Adventures of Aloy is also planned.
