Group Stage conclusion
The first order of the day was the final two group games in each group to decide who would progress to the knockouts.
In Group A, firm favourite Tekkz suffered a dramatic shock exit as he failed to beat German player Michael "Megabit" Bittner in his final match. This opened the door for Ajax player Dani "Ajax Dani" Hagebeuk to climb the table and finish in 3rd, leaving Tekkz in 5th.
There was better news for the two other British players in Group A. Both Tom "Stokes" Stokes and Tassal "Tass" Rushan finished 1st and 2nd in the group, respectively.
Group B saw Msdossary finish with seven wins out of seven to qualify top of the group, with his two Rogue teammates, Niklas "Nraseck" Raseck and Nawid "GoalMachine" Noorzai also progressing to the knockouts. Frenchman Fouad "Rafsou" Fares also progressed.
In Group C the highest ranked PlayStation player, nicolas99fc, completed the comeback of all comebacks. After losing his first three matches yesterday, the Argentinian won his remaining four matches to squeak through to the knockouts on goal difference. Diogo "tuga810" Pombo topped the group, whilst a free-scoring Fatih "Üstün" Üstün and a relaxed Mohammed "MoAuba" Harkous also made it out of the group.
Group D saw two players progress without a loss: last year's runner-up Stefano "Pinna97" Pinna and Portuguese player Gonçalo "RastaArtur" Pinto. Frenchman Corentin "Maestro" Thuillier also qualified for the knockouts. The dark horse of the group was Henrique "Zezinho" Lempke, who took many by surprise in topping the group.
Console Quarter Finals
Despite being on home soil, it was the end of the road for Tass and Stokes as they were both eliminated in the first round of knockouts on the Xbox side.
Rafsou advanced to the Xbox semis after defeating Ajax Dani, whilst all three Rogue players moved on to the final four in their console, including reigning champion Msdossary.
Over on the PlayStation, Nicolas continued his unstoppable Day 2 form by dismantling Zezinho.
Pinna97's chances of reaching another Grand Final were halted by a confident-looking MoAuba, whilst Ustun also progressed to the last four.
Maestro booked his place in the console semis with an impressive victory over tuga810.
Console Semi Finals
The tastiest of the two Xbox semi finals was certainly the Rogue derby between GoalMachine and Msdossary. However, the reigning champion trounced his teammate in an 8-3 demolition, securing his place in tomorrow's console final and bringing him one step closer to back-to-back FeWC titles.
He will be joined by Rafsou, who put in a top performance against NRaseck to win 6-3. Will he be the man to stop Msdossary's dominance this weekend?
Over on the PlayStation, nicolas99fc annihilated Ustun 9-1 with a ruthless display that even got the usually emotionless Argentinian animated.
He'll be up against MoAuba in the console final, who worked hard to defeat a talented Maestro 5-1, even mimicking the Frenchman's signature celebration on scoring his fifth.
The final day will see both console finals as well as the cross-console Grand Final, where one of Msdossary, Rafsou, nicolas99fc or MoAuba will become FeWC 2019 champion and $250,000 richer.
