As revealed in the Deadline newspaper earlier this year, a Netflix series would be in the pipes on the Netflix side. The streaming platform would like to keep the main plot of the first opuses for its next series.
This is by no means a remake of the first game released in 1996. The plot should focus on the internal workings of the 'Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-virus.'.
If this is confirmed, the series could allow us to discover more about the organization and its various members, recurring antagonists of the saga.
This TV adaptation should nevertheless integrate all the elements and characteristics of the Resident Evil games. Fans of the series will be able to find easter-eggs related to the different episodes.
