For several weeks — and even more if you have been on the PTR recently — Role Queue has been present on Overwatch's servers. Long requested by players, this feature allows them to have balanced teams, at the cost of more limited flexibility.
From August 31 at 7pm, Role Queue will be available in the Competitive Play mode. It will be available in Quick Play from September 3 at 1pm. This delay will allow Blizzard to respond more quickly to any problems that may arise during the launch of both modes.
For all those who miss the possibility of freely choosing their role, the Quick Play Classic will be available on September 3 at 1pm in Arcade mode.
New patch 1.39.2 is available in game. A new feature called Shared install will allow players to save space on their disk. Plus, some bugs have been fixed in this update.
