We've heard little about The Last of Us Part II for over a year now, the last news being a gameplay presentation that delighted fans at E3 2018. Before that, a trailer was revealed at Paris Games Week in 2017. Since then, radio silence.
However, things will change very soon, as Sony revealed a media event has been organized for September 24 in Los Angeles.
It was revealed by Geoff Keighley — creator of The Game Awards — after he posted a photo of the event invitation via Twitter.
Naughty Dog are known for dazzling players with their technical prowess and stunning animations. The American studio continues to impress after Uncharted 4, a game which took full advantage of the capabilities of the PS4 in 2016.
That's why fans are expecting something even more breathtaking for this second epsiode of Joel and Ellie's adventures.
This event is certainly be an opportunity for Sony and Naughty Dog to reveal the release date of the game, just a few days after the Tokyo Game Show and the extensive presentation of another much-awaited Playstation exclusive: Death Stranding.
The Last of Us Part II is certainly one of the most anticipated titles from Sony Interactive Entertainment. The first game was released in 2013, and is still considered by many today as a video game masterpiece, setting the bar very high for the sequel.
We'll have to wait another two weeks before we know what this event will bring us!
