Overwatch Legendary Edition is finally coming to Nintendo Switch on October 15. For the occasion, the official Nintendo store in New York had prepared a special launch event. It was supposed to be opened to all, the first part being accessible to everyone without having to reserve your place. It should have taken place on October 16, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. ET.
However, Nintendo announced on their official Twitter account that the event had been cancelled by Blizzard. Comments are flooding in and many see this as a link to recent controversy regarding Blitzchung.
In any case, this announcement will certainly disappoint a lot of fans. We don't know yet whether a similar event will take place later or not.
But until you get your hands on the game — and if you want to perfect your Overwatch fan kit — you can also pre-order an exclusive Overwatch Nintendo Switch controller on Amazon and EB Games. Get ready to become the hero you've always wanted on Switch!
