After revealing that Matthew "NadeShoT" Haag was to receive the Shaker of the Year 2020 award, Esports BAR announced the eight organizations that are competing for the Community Shaker Award.
"Fans have always been important in sports, they're important in esports too," said former NBA champion Tony Parker, ambassador for the event.
The winner will be announced during the Esports BAR in Cannes, this third edition of which brings together business, conferences, and networking around the topic of esports.
The event will take place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes from February 11-13, 2020.
This Community Shaker Award highlights an esports organization that has worked to expand and retain its fan base, and that has increased the engagement of its community in order to reach more people and increase the popularity of esports.
Last year the Community Shaker award went to Team Vitality, after a strong commitment to online voting from the organization's fans.
The Esports BAR jury is composed of a host of influential personalities from across esports, such as Carlos "Ocelote" Rodriguez (CEO of G2 Esports) and Justin Dellario (Head of Esports at Twitch).
