Hearthstone will soon welcome the latest expansion of the Year of the Dragon: Descent of Dragons. However, before the official release, you can take part in a Fireside Gathering event to open your boosters before anyone else!
How to participate
- Pre-release events will occur from December 6 to December 9
- Find a tavern by browsing the official Fireside Gatherings website
- Register alone or with your friends
That's not all! Fireside Gatherings with the Pre-Release badge will also have unique items you can obtain from giveaways or activities:
- Limited edition Galakrond Hearthstone pins
- A Descent of Dragons posters
- ... and various other Hearthstone goodies!

- Descent of Dragons No Cards Barred: Make a deck with any Descent of Dragons cards, no restrictions on classes or copies!
- Draconic Recipes: Jump right into the Dragon battles – simply choose a class and pilot new pre-built deck recipes!
Host your own Pre-Release event
If you didn't find any tavern nearby, perhaps you want to organize yourself a pre-release event. Here is the procedure to follow:
- Go on the Fireside Gatherings website and choose 'Host a Gathering'
- Do it before December 2
- Select the Descent of Dragons Pre-Release campaign
- Receive your Fireside support kit!
Keep in mind that your event needs to meet the following qualifications:
- Events must be publicly scheduled at FiresideGatherings.com so other players can find and attend them.
- Your event must be open to the public and held in a public space like a café, restaurant, bar, city square, or local game store.
- Innkeepers requesting a support kit must be 18 years of age or older.
