Patch 16.0 was just implemented into Hearthstone and introduced Descent of Dragons, but it also adds brand new content to Battlegrounds!
After the release of Brann, Elise, Finley, and Sindragosa, three new heroes are entering the Battlegrounds: Edwin, Sylvanas, and Rafaam!
Three new heroes
Arch-Villain Rafaam
On the paper, his hero power is really powerful. At the beginning of the game, an additional minion is a very powerful asset, while at the end of the game you can get potentially powerful minion. Be careful though, the minion added to your hand is basic. This is a non-golden version without any buffs.
Edwin VanCleef
Edwin's hero power will certainly be very strong at the beginning and middle of the game. Indeed, it should give you an advantage at the beginning of the game giving you a stronger board than your opponent, while it can boost the key servants of your strategies. A Cave Hydra that has been boosted as soon as it arrives in the game will be even easier to find opposing servants, for example.
Sylvanas Windrunner
Sylvanas' heroic power costs nothing. In short, for a piece (the resale price of a minion) you make a +2/+2, which is quite strong!
New Minions
- King Bagurgle is a tavern 5 minion who comes, as expected, to reinforce the Murloc synergy at the end of the game.
- Floating Watcher is a tavern 3 minion who comes to reinforce the Demons. Indeed, he gains statistics every time your hero suffers damage during your turn. It will be perfect with Wrath Weaver, but beware of Mal'Ganis who makes your hero Insensitive!
Minion Balance Changes
The long-awaited nerf of Lightfang Enforcer is here!
The bonus he offers each turn is reduced to +2/+1 to a random Allied Beast, Demon, Mechanism, and Murloc. If it loses a little power, it remains extremely solid, and can still give +8/+4 (instead of +8/+8) each turn!
We will have to wait a little longer before the nerve of the Nightmare Amalgam which should surely arrive in January.
