The BioShock franchise will make its long-awaited comeback via Cloud Chamber, a new studio opened by 2K Games.
Kelley Gilmore will serve as Cloud Chamber’s Global Studio Head, becoming the first woman in 2K history to launch and lead a development studio. A 22-year industry veteran, she has more than 40 games shipped to date on her CV,
Series creator Ken Levine will not, however, be part of the new studio.
It's hard not to be excited. The BioShock trilogy has built a formidable reputation over the years, thanks to exceptional gameplay and story.
The BioShock franchise has shipped more than 33 million units worldwide since its first release in 2007. Its return had already been reported in April 2018 in an article by Kotaku about a game developed with the Unreal Engine.
Rumours are that the next instalment has been in the works for years, now — could we hear more about the return of BioShock at the 2019 Game Awards?
