Christmas is back in Overwatch, and comes with a host of magic and cosmetics. For this fourth edition, Blizzard have revealed the dates of the event and a winter-themed skin for Sigma — which we had the opportunity to see during BlizzCon.
From December 10 to January 2, the Yeti Hunt and Mei's Snowball Offensive game modes are also back for you to enjoy!
This update will bring the long-awaited Patch 1.41, with several hero updates and the ability to play while queuing for games.
Seasonal game modes
Two original game modes are available during the Christmas holidays, Yeti Hunt and Mei's Snowball Offensive.
Released in 2017, the first is a seasonal arcade mode that allows you to play as a hunter in a 5-Mei team, or the Yeti (Winston) — who has to collect four pieces of meat to escape these daring hunters.
Mei's Snowball Offensive is a 6v6 mode on Ecolab. All the players play as Mei, equipped with her snow gun. This weapon has only one shot, but can be recharged by piles of snow on the ground.
