Akira Toriyama's two big hits have already had a crossover in the past. In Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, it's been done with a sub-story dedicated to Dr. Slump's character Arale.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot pays tribute to everything that surrounds the license, and it was hard to miss the other major work of Akira Toriyama, Dr. Slump. This sub story, available in the West City area, right next to the fountain, will be triggered by talking to Arale as Goku.

Here It Comes!

Once Arale and Goku have remembered the events of Dragon Ball and their fight against the Red Ribbon, the little Cyborg will explain that she has walked too far and can no longer return to the Penguin village. Kakarot obviously doesn't know the way back, so he will propose to Arale to teleport with her to Fortuneteller Baba.

Baba gives them the information but, as usual, it will not be for free. To complete this side quest, you'll have to find :

  • Pure green crystal
  • Pure red crystal
  • Pure blue crystal

These crystals are quite rare but work according to the same logic as Z-Orbs. To find the green ones, go to an area where green is predominant, red in a desert and blue snowy areas. To be sure, go to the world map and on each zone press square or X to access the list of lootable items.

Another trick is to use the Katchin, those caves that require a certain level to be opened or rather whose entrance will be pulverized by a punch. These contain crystals to be destroyed by switching to FPS mode with a simple Kikoha. In addition, this trip will allow you to collect the few D Medals they contain.

Once the pure crystals have been collected, Goku will teleport directly in front of Baba in Nam Village. The witch will point out the location of the Penguin Village, and the group will teleport back to the fountain near Capsule Corporation. Unfortunately, we won't see Arale's Village.

A small surprise awaits Goku back at the fountain, as another Dr. Slump character makes his appearance. Senbei, who had gone in search of Arale, also got lost on the way. Of course, Son Goku will offer him a ride home by flying. At the end of this story, it is not 2, but 3 very interesting soul emblems that you will get, Arale's, Senbei's but also Gatchan's.
