Secondary Weapons
Classic
The Classic is the standard weapon offered in all rounds. It needs two headshots to kill — whether or not the opponent has a shield. Its recoil is very good and you can fire a series of accurate shots fairly quickly. Its right click is a burst of three bullets rather hazardous. With 12 bullets in the magazine and 36 extra spare rounds of ammunition, the Classic can do the job perfectly if your aim is great. Its accuracy and low recoil make it a versatile weapon that you can keep in a majority of rounds if you don't have a fully equipped sniper — in which case you'll prefer a Sheriff or Ghost to accompany your rifle.
Shorty
The Shorty is a small double-barrel sawed-off rifle. It unloads its two reserves of buckshot extremely quickly and can really be lethal at close range. It costs only ¤ 200 and can be extremely devastating in close combat. At over 10 meters however, you can forget about it. It's a purchase to make if you know you'll be playing in contact with the enemy or to play the usher on a small site in an eco round. You normally won't buy the Shorty if you have a lot of money, not being a really viable solution.
Frenzy
The Frenzy also needs two headshots to kill — whether your opponent has a shield or not. It'll turn out that aiming the Frenzy precisely at the head isn't easy, and it isn't really designed for that anyway. Its very high rate of fire is its main asset. This advantage is compensated by a very large recoil, a very wide spray and a magazine capacity of 13 bullets. With the Frenzy, you want to kill an enemy quickly and at short or medium range. Costing ¤ 300, it can be coupled with a light shield. But beware, it's not made for distance.
Ghost
The Ghost will be a deadly first round buy for your enemies if you hold your positions properly. It will also be the best and only real alternative to the Sheriff at the end of the game if you want a reliable secondary weapon. The Ghost is reliable, lethal and versatile. However, beware of its moderate body and leg damage. Your goal will really be — thanks to the low recoil and the precision of the weapon — to constantly aim at the head, and if your enemy has a shield, to make a head and one or two body shots.
Sheriff
Spend ¤ 800 and you'll have a heavy pocket rifle. It'll remind in its power and ridiculous accuracy the Deagle from Counter-Strike Source. You can kill an enemy with one headshot, shield or not. Once its recoil is mastered, you'll be able to chain the extremely accurate bullets quite quickly. Only the 4th bullet will start to lack accuracy. The Sheriff is a real brute. It shoots hard, goes straight, has little recoil and little spray. You may logically sometimes prefer it to a shotgun or SMG. With 50 to 55 damage for a body shot, your enemy will suffer heavy damage.
