Since the Halloween update on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it is possible to grow pumpkins and collect DIY recipes to craft Scary Series furniture. Be careful though, if you read this guide before October 1st, it's normal that you cannot find pumpkin seeds or DIY recipes. The month of horror really begins in October.
Buy pumpkin seeds and plant them
You have to go to the Nook’s Cranny, and more specifically the cupboard, to buy pumpkin seeds. With candies, seeds are only purchasable items for the entire month of October.

As with every seasonal event, special recipes for this furniture can be obtained:
- In the flying gifts,
- With the villagers who craft at home,
- In bottles by the sea,
- From Jack on October 31 (for certain items)
- With the villagers on October 31 by giving them sweets (for certain items)
But this time around, Halloween items are also on sale in the Nook’s Cranny.

The Spooky Floor, Spooky Wall, and Spooky Rug can only be obtained by giving villagers candy on October 31st. You cannot craft or purchase them from the Nook Shop.
