Like the cherry blossoms in spring on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the month of December offers you the chance to capture snowflakes with your net! By collecting enough, you can then craft pretty winter furniture for your Christmas decoration.
How to catch winter snowflakes
You have to be at least December 11 to start seeing snow on Animal Crossing. Take out your net and you will see snowflakes flying all over your island. The flakes appear until February 24 in the northern hemisphere and from June 11 to August 24 in the southern hemisphere.
Try to catch them as if they were a flying insect. Be careful though: if you run next to the snowflake or miss it with your net, it will disappear.
By rolling snowballs and creating a Perfect Yetiti, it's also possible to obtain Large Snowflakes.
Snowflakes and Frozen furniture list
In order to get the Frozen DIY Recipes, you need to pop balloons in the sky. With a little luck, you will come across a DIY recipe from the Ice Series.
Alternatively, you can also craft perfect snowmen in order to obtain DIY using Large Snowflakes.
