Season 7 of Fortnite is well under way, with the Week 3 challenges now live.
In this challenge you'll need to use a chicken as a glider. However, this challenge is more complicated than it looks. Finding a chicken, catching it, and then flying a fair distance required a little more exercise than you might think!
Where to find a chicken
Chickens are arguably the most common animal species on the island, but sometimes they are tricky to find.
Your best bet is to venture to Colossal Crops or the nearby Armored Farmer's Estate.
How to catch a chicken
Chickens are fearful critters. They are likely to get scared and flee with a squeal at a single gunshot.
If you can't manage to catch one silently, you can always bait them with corn! This can be found by destroying the Armored Farmer's crops, or in fruit and vegetable crates all over the island.
Once attracted to the ear of corn, the chicken can be caught more easily.
How to fly 20 meters
Hens allow you to make great gliding jumps, but without preparation you will not have the required impetus.
Try one of these methods:
- Bounce several times on piles of tires, to make higher and higher jumps.
- Use the platforms at the top of Guardian Towers
- Soar from a very high peak, such as Mount Kay
