In Monster Hunter Rise, Narwa has a lot in common with her king, the Wind Serpent Ibushi, and the battle is once again radically different from that against normal monsters. You will probably be happy to know that she is not faced in Apex mode.

Fight against the Thunder Narwa
Although she resembles the Wind Serpent Ibushi and shares some of his characteristics, Thunder Serpent Narwa is a very distinct and quite complex fight since she has a lot of abilities. Fortunately, you can overcome it even with rough gameplay. The important thing is to always try to keep your life points as high as possible by taking healing potions and first aid potions as needed.
Don't hesitate to whistle your dog to ride him during this fight, you will need him to follow Narwa through the area, to dodge some attacks, and also to climb more easily on the stone platforms. The big vertical golden blast and the low boss charges are examples of techniques that the dog will greatly help you manage.
Most of Narwa's attacks are made up of giant thunder rings and balls. Some are vertical, in which case you can dodge them by moving sideways, on your Palamute's back if necessary. Others are horizontal, you usually have to dodge them by climbing on the stone platforms that come out of the ground.
Her other attacks are mostly related to the purple lasers emitted by the yellow bag attached to Narwa's belly. Generally, they consist of 5 continuous shots that sweep the area vertically. To dodge them, you have to stand between two rays, then move again to dodge the second wave that will sweep the previously safe area.
When Narwa gains altitude, it will sweep the area with a huge purple beam that will spin very quickly. You can dodge it either by being far away or by positioning yourself under a flying stone platform, which then serves as a roof.
The ultimate technique of Narwa is cast after a long period of incantation. It will release a ball of purple energy that will hit the whole area. You can dodge it in several ways: the best is to drop Narwa using the siege weapons in the area. The other alternative is to be on one of the high platforms which includes one of the said siege weapons. The platform and the altitude will then protect you. If you miss and get stuck on the ground, heal yourself as much as possible and try a dive at the last moment.
In combat, you can use jumps and the Wirebug to attack Narwa in the air if you have a melee weapon. There are two reliable ways to inflict damage on Narwa: the first is to use machine guns, ballista, and cannons. These are not available for very long, so don't bother going for the ones that are too far away. Cannons are definitely the most useful, as they stay in the air longer, and their availability usually coincides with the triggering of a big area attack from the boss that needs to be interrupted.
The second method is to attack Narwa's big yellow belly bag. When she triggers certain techniques, especially her horizontal thunder rings, she will hold herself up vertically with stone platforms. If you are quick, you can climb the platforms that will lead you to the exposed belly bag, which you can attack at your leisure. Remember to position yourself on its flanks to automatically dodge the lightning pillars emitted by the boss.
Finally, the 2 superweapons of the zone will be unlocked. The first one is the Dragon Breaker, the huge siege gun. Its activation lever is near the back wall of the area. It is easy to use since you can aim it. However, it is best to use it when Narwa is not moving, for example when she is preparing a super energy ball or sweeping the area with her rotating laser.
A little later, the giant Dragonator will be unlocked, it uses the same lever, but it has big limitations (which we didn't take into account in the video). The first one is that it doesn't go beyond half of the area in depth. The second is that the tips are positioned in a triangle, not in a line. If Narwa is not right in the center of the zone, she will not be hit.
Once you have mastered all these elements, it is a battle of endurance. Remember to use the Wirebug to recover quickly if you fall, so you can quickly reach the stone platforms and siege weapons. Once again, remember that keeping your life at its maximum is usually the best way to avoid an unwelcome death. Remember that you can drink potions and sharpen your weapon from your Palamute's back.
