Defeat Tobi-Kadachi, Barioth, and Nargacuga in the new Monster Hunter Rise event quest to obtain a fresh new set of titles. Here's our guide to the Heart of a Ninja quest

Monster Hunter Rise: Heart of a Ninja Event Quest

A new event quest has been added in Monster Hunter Rise, right after the 3.0 Update. This rank 7 quest, "Heart of Ninja", consists of hunting a Tobi-Kadachi, Barioth, and Nargacuga in Arena. It requires you to be HR 4 or higher.

Information

To get the quest, you need to talk to Senri the Mailman, claiming it by selecting the Add-on Content. Make sure you have installed the 3.0 update before trying to download it. The quest takes place in the Arena and lasts about 50 minutes. It will require you to hunt a Tobi-Kadachi, a Barioth, and a Nargacuga.

  • The Tobi-Kadachi is very agile. You will need to be patient and have good reflexes. Attack it on the flanks, at the level of its very long tail rather than at the level of its body. This will strongly limit its ability to counter-attack. Do not face it head on, you'll only get a direct hit and be electrocuted.
  • The Barioth can unleash its icy breath and apply an Iceblight on the target. The same goes when it is whipping its tail. Its front claws and shoulders covered with spikes are its main weapons. You can easily get hit by one or the other when the Barioth leaps, slides, or performs a whirlwind attack.
  • The Nargacuga is a difficult opponent, as it is aggressive, quick, and agile. You'll have to circle it and be ready to roll or dive to avoid its forward jumps. When attacking it, you should keep in mind that it can leap back and counter-attack with its tail. The Nargacuga can quickly become enraged and increase the power of its attacks so make sure you are always on your guard.
Tobi-Kodachi

A fanged wyvern that flies among the treetops. Its penchant to brush against the ground and the trees as it moves around builds up static electricity within its fur. This action allows it to reach a charged state, identified by its glowing fur, in which its head and tail attacks are said to be particularly lethal.

Barioth

Wyverns that rule the eternally frozen Tundra. Barioth uses their forelegs, tail, and spiked scales to traverse the slippery ice with ease; this ability makes them very difficult to keep up with.

Nargacuga

Flying wyverns have evolved to live in thickly wooded areas. Covered in jet black fur, these cunning predators stalk their prey from the shadows and attack with ferocious speed. Their massive tails are as dexterous as they are deadly and powerful enough to slay smaller monsters with one strike.
