Don't plant everything in one place
The mistake to avoid is to want to create a beautiful single garden in front of your home. If you haven't moved your house and it's still in the Esplanade, it's a very bad idea to make your garden in this biome. Indeed, each of the vegetables and other ingredients in the game have an ideal place to grow. A bit like in a Story of Seasons farm game, you have to plant your seeds where they can grow best. For example, choose the Enchanted Beach to plant sugar cane!
To know where the seeds grow best, all you have to do is remember where you bought them. For example, if you buy eggplant seeds at the Forgotten Lands Goofy stand, then you will need to plant them in the dirt of that biome. As you will have understood, the ideal is to make a garden in each of the biomes of the Valley! To verify that a seed grows best in one place, you will see a small arrow next to the seed when you want to plant it.
I've tried several grains and vegetables, and the growing time is actually reduced by a few seconds by planting in the right place. (50 seconds for wheat for example instead of 1 minute). That said, I agree that it is more practical to have all your plantations in the same place to facilitate harvesting.

The technique to plant and harvest faster
Especially if you're on Nintendo Switch, you probably won't want to garden because the actions required to plant and harvest vegetables are so long. In order to optimize this time and especially to reduce it, here are some tips:
- If you have a companion to increase his friendship level or double your resources, open your Furniture menu and enclose him with lattices for example so that he stops getting in your way,
