Disney Dreamlight Valley was released on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today, we are going to focus on Eric and his cartography stand!
Unlock Eric's Mapping Stand and upgrade it
First of all, you will obviously have to unlock Eric's character to access the sale of his precious furniture plans. For this, you must imperatively complete the quests of Ursula and Ariel. It is by reaching level 7 of friendship with the Prince that you can complete the following quest:

Back on the waves
It is she who allows you to unlock Eric's plan stand directly at home. Here is the solution to the quest in question.
Unlock Blueprint Booth
Eric will want to go back in search of treasures by sailing on the waves. Go talk to Scrooge to collect Sea Maps and give them to the prince. Then bring the broken compass to Wall-E so he can fix it. Now you will need to craft a Dreamlight magnet with the following materials:
- 4 iron ingots
- 6 Crafting Pieces (requires Iron Ingots via the Workbench)

8 crystals (found by mining rocks in the Forgotten Lands)
Craft the magnet via your workbench in the "functional items" tab.
Give the magnet to Wall-E to repair the compass and give it to Eric. Join him now in his palace:
- he's opened a mapping booth that lets you buy unique construction plans !
- By purchasing them, you will unlock blueprints directly in your workbench.
Improve the blueprint stand
For the moment, your mapping stand can only sell 1 map per day. To be able to buy 2 per day, you will need to improve it through the level 10 friendship quest: The Mystical Crystal.
Eric will ask you to go talk to Merlin to investigate a mystical crystal. You will need to gather 5 Purified Nightshards and 10 Crystals for the magician to do an enchantment on the Mythic Compass. Then give it to Eric who will want to make a spacesuit:
- 20 Cloths (you will need a lot of Cottons: buy the seeds at the Sunny Plateau and grow them there to make it faster)
- 15 iron ingots
- 8 glasses (need sand)
- 5 gold bars (gold is mostly found by mining in the Sunshine Plateau or the Forgotten Lands)
