Definitely, Hoyoverse is currently in great shape to make its flagship game, Genshin Impact, visible in a very real way. After the amazing crossovers with Pizza Hut then Cadillac, the publisher was very recently able to organize a cosplay event on the banks of the Thames, in London. And guess what? Paimon once again stole the show from the most charismatic characters in the game. It must be said that the annoying cherub had for the occasion taken the form of an inflatable statue more than 6 meters high.
Paimon straight ahead!
This Sunday, October 2, residents of downtown London were able to admire a giant inflatable Paimon, towed by a tugboat, in the middle of the Thames. The huge statue of the little cherub sat in the center of a barge, and it caught the public's attention this weekend.
She even got accosted (literally) by other ships on the river. The XXL happening took place without the slightest incident and the photos and videos of this inflatable Paimon, which were not always from Genshin Impact connoisseurs, flooded social networks this Sunday.
Hoyoverse and IRL events: the trigger?
In a few months, Hoyoverse has multiplied happenings and IRL events around Genshin Impact. The publisher is now comfortable showcasing its flagship game, and it shows. Some characters - like Paimon - have become well-known figures in global video game culture. Real-world Teyvat hero appearances are getting more and more feedback from the community, and are often very well received.
