Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today we are going to focus on Goofy.
Introducing Goofy
Just like Mickey, Goofy became an icon of Walt Disney when it was created in 1932. The mouse's best friend, he is often described as very clumsy. He makes regular appearances alongside Mickey or the Scrooge gang and will even be entitled to his own series with his son. In the game, Goofy is a fishing lover and it is he who will have to be seen to repair the fishing rod before obtaining it completely at the start of the adventure.
Unlock Goofy, his house and his rewards by friendship level
Goofy is unlocked at the start of the game, when you have to find the Royal Tools for Merlin. For the fishing rod, you will indeed have to pick it up on the ground and go to have it repaired in Goofy's house.

Goofy's house is in the Prairie Tranquille , just down the big stairs and next to the main pond. You can of course change it if you wish.
Below are the rewards Goofy gives you at each friendship level. Level 10 is the maximum you can reach. Then, it will no longer be useless to make him gain experience, but it will always be more advantageous to take him to accompany you on an excursion since his bonuses will be higher.
As for Goofy's favorite gifts , know that he really appreciates fish: make sure that this object is one of his 3 daily favorite gifts, but in general, he comes back often.
Available from the start, Goofy will offer you Friendship quests like any other character in the game.
Fishing trip

This quest is correlated with Scrooge's quest as you will need to re-open Goofy's booth at Tranquil Meadow. To do this, use the yellow triangular panel that is right next to the stand.
A warm welcome

You will need to prepare a meal with basil or oregano for Goofy. For example, you can make him a Ratatouille if you have unlocked Rémy or a Baked Bremen (bream + oregano or basil).
The mysterious wreck

Condition : you must have unlocked the Enchanted Beach and found the shovel on the small islet where there is a pillar and a shipwreck.
Goofy will want to help you repair the raft, but to do so, you will need to bring him the following materials:
- 30 Hardwood (found on the ground in the Bayou of Confidence and the Forest of Courage),
- 7 rope (to be made using fiber and therefore seaweed),
- 25 clay (found in the ground of the Bayou of Trust),

10 iron ingot
This quest is very important because it will allow you to go to an island where Ariel the Little Mermaid is.
Photographic fervor

Fan of scrapbooking, Goofy will ask you for photos of very specific places:
- The Giant Swamp Willow (this is Mother Gothel's house at Bayou de la Confiance),
- The Sunny Plateau Elephant Cemetery,
- Scrooge's Store,
- Remy's Restaurant,

The Castle of Dreams.
Just grab the camera in your Tools and take a selfie centered on the location.
But that will not be enough for Goofy who will now ask you to photograph the famous Pillars of each biome (the pillars are the black steles with a luminous orb in their center):
- Pillar of Friendship (that of the Tranquil Prairie, top left, behind Goofy's pond),
- Pillar of Power (that of the Enchanted Beach, not far from the mystical cave),
- Pillar of Courage (the one in the Forest of Courage, at the far right),

Pillar of Confidence (that of the Bayou de la Confiance, at the far end to the south)

Now that you have shown all the photos to Goofy, open your inventory (wardrobe) and wear any hat to take a selfie with him.

Friendship Quest 5 - Level 10
This time you will have to take a photo with Donald, one with Mickey and 4 others with any character in the game. You will then have to place the "Dingo's Dreamlight Valley Photo Album" cabinet where you want it in your town.
And that's all ! You will get Goofy's Hat as a reward. Don't forget to go renovate and expand all of his stalls in each biome so you can buy lots of useful ingredients and seeds.
