Disney Dreamlight Valley was released on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today we're going to be looking at the Forgotten Lands biome.
Forgotten Lands: unlock the desolate biome
After exploring all the other biomes in the Valley, unlocking the Forgotten Lands is probably the last thing you'll do. You will find only one passage to get there: by turning left from the Sunny Plateau Elephant Cemetery. Note that another passage allows you to go to the bottom of the Forgotten Lands by passing towards the waterfall of the Plateau but the latter being still blocked, only the glitch of the teleportation well allows you to do this.
- Price to unlock the area : 15,000 Dreamlight
- Price to repair the teleport shaft : 10,000 Coins
Green flames, pumpkin house and other peculiarities
The Forgotten Lands are particularly dark and feature a gloomy biome where the ground is littered with green flames. For the moment, these flames cannot be extinguished and are part of the inaccessible things in the game in Early Access. There is no doubt that a future update will allow us to further improve our Watering Can in order to extinguish them and free up some chests. On the component side, we can imagine that it will give us ashes, a new material useful for adventure and furniture making.
The Forgotten Lands are also home to a Pumpkin House which is inhabited by a character not yet in the game (check out the leak here for his identity). The Crows, critters of the area, are also not yet integrated. All this makes it an interesting biome but for the moment only 50% exploitable.
Forgotten Lands: All biome resources
Ingredients, Flowers, Materials, Gems, and Goofy's Stand
In the Forgotten Lands, you can easily find the following gems, materials, and ingredients by clearing night thorns, collecting fruit from trees, mining, or purchasing them from the Goofy Stand. The stand also costs 5000 coins to be repaired, then 12,500 coins for the first upgrade, and finally 25,000 coins for the final upgrade. It is interesting to improve it thoroughly to have constant access to pumpkin seeds: the best way to earn money today.
The fish
As with any biome in the game, some fish and seafood can only be found in the Forgotten Lands.
Biome Critter: Crows
- Where to find it? Forgotten Lands
- Number of colors available : 5
- Favorite food : to be determined
-
Difficulty : to be defined
Crows are currently not available in-game, although they are present in your Collection. We will have to wait for the next update (or another one) in order to be able to tame them.
Forgotten Lands: Characters and Quests
By unlocking the Forgotten Lands, you will find the Pumpkin House, but the latter is not yet accessible: with a future update, the biome will then have a dedicated character, as is the case with Mother Gothel, for example, in the Bayou of trust.
This biome is important to unlock if you want to complete friendship quests for certain characters like Ursula who will ask you to fetch a crystal from the ruins.
