Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. The game offers a ton of activities such as gardening, cooking or even fishing, but it is indeed unlocking new characters that is the most important. And there are plenty of Disney/Pixar characters! The next to be added will be Scar in the update but it looks like he won't be alone...
Being able to pet the animals!
On Twitter, Gameloft revealed that a brand new feature will be added in the next content update: the ability to pet the Critters that accompany you on the field. It may be just a detail for you but in the sphere of "cozy games", it is very important to be able to "pet the [animal name]" in order to be a real chill and cute game. Thus, it will be possible to interact with the companion of your choice (Pua, squirrel, crocodile etc.) by addressing him a few words or by caressing him.
Bonus: a free item in a few weeks
This doesn't have much to do with the update, but it was important to let you know: a great fountain is currently being designed. Once the item is complete, it will be given to all players directly in their mailbox!
What else is planned for the update?
Of course, this feature is just a tiny new addition that the update will bring. Thanks to the leak of game data, we also know that two other objects could appear: fishing bait and fertilizer for gardening! On the character side, it is also likely that in addition to Scar, 6 other Disney/Pixar heroes will join the Sunny Plateau and the Forgotten Lands (who is hiding in the Pumpkin House after all?). We will have to wait at least another full week before we know for sure!
Besides, although the Way of the Stars is coming to an end, that does not mean that the update will take place at that time. Patience and, in the meantime, you can always grow pumpkins galore in order to make lots of money and buy all the furniture from Scrooge!
