Sinmara God of War Ragnarok: Where to find the secret dialogue with Surt's companion?

God of War is full of interesting, even amusing little exchanges between characters when conditions are met. One of these dialogues involves Sinmara, the Frost Giant, who is also Surt's companion before her transformation into Ragnarök. Here are the details in this guide.

Sinmara God of War Ragnarok: Where to find the secret dialogue with Surt's companion?

It was fun to listen to some of the dialogue during God of War Ragnarök, for example when Tyr and Atreus comment on Kratos' habit of searching places thoroughly to loot everything, or when Ratatoskr ends up going mad from ringing the carillon. The mini dialogue on Sinmara is of the same order, it's really just a few sentences said in passing, don't expect anything crazy. It doesn't report anything either.

Where to find Sinmara in Nilfheim?

The first condition is to have defeated Odin, and to have completed the main story of God of War Ragnarök. You must then go see Ratatoskr in front of Sinri's house , on Yggdrasil. He will give you seeds in order to open new accesses. Interact with Mystic Access , then select the realm of Nilfheim . You then need to unlock the previously visited section with Atreus: The Fields of Fog . You will find it on the left, after a few dozen meters in the area.

Dialogue on Sinmara

Start exploring the area with Mimir and Freya. Along the way, you will hear what sounds like crying, or moaning. This will trigger the little dialogue between Kratos, Mimir and Freya, during which they plan to speak to Sinmara, to tell him the sad news: the transformation and death of his spouse, the fire giant Surt. But Kratos refuses, since she is obviously already aware. So they prefer to leave her alone.

What you may miss though is Sinmara herself. Indeed, the poor ice giant is not a conventional character, waiting for you by the roadside. You either have to take a step back or raise the camera to the right place. She is on top of a column of ice, on the edge of the path. She seems petrified, in addition to being covered in ice.

There is unfortunately nothing more to do, or even to discover. Norse mythology is full of tragic stories, destined to end badly. It is even one of the central themes of the game.

Many players come across this dialogue naturally, on their way to the 12th Berserker Tombstone.
