LoL, Teamfight Tactics: patch 7/01, Twisted Fate, beta pass

To broaden the pool of champions of the current meta, Riot Games devs just changed the probabilities of finding specific Tier units in the shop. But there is more: the upcoming new champion of TFT was revealed! Along with some buffs and nerfs, check below all the details about the 7/01 Patch!

LoL, Teamfight Tactics: patch 7/01, Twisted Fate, beta pass

One of Riot Games dev just revealed the #51 Champion of Teamfight Tactics on Twitter. Get your cards and your shenanigans ready, cause Twisted Fate will soon join the board!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's hype-o'clock!

Origins & Class

Within League of Legends' lore, Twisted Fate is a mage and he belongs to the Bilgewater faction. Yo ho ho, can you hear Gangplank's Powder Kegs? Or is it Graves shotgun?

We don't even need to make theories about Twisted Fate's Origins. It's crystal-clear. He will be a Pirate.

The only question that might remain would be about his Class. Obviously, it seems pretty evident that Twisted Fate would be a nice addition to Sorcerers. However, we could also speculate on the possibility of having a (1) Class trait similar to the (1) Exile trait. Even though it seems unlikely, it could be an interesting shift for the current meta.

Ability

Well, this one leaves a wide-open space for speculations. Cause it could be almost anything, except his ultimate. Let's check his spells in League of Legends.

Passive - Loaded Dice

Upon killing a unit, Twisted Fate rolls his 'lucky' dice receiving anywhere between 1 and 6 bonus gold.

It's not a crazy thought to consider the possibility of Twisted Fate being a passive Champion in TFT. Moreover, it would synergize perfectly with the (3) Pirate trait.

plz moar gold

Q - Wild Cards

Twisted Fate throws three cards, dealing damage to each enemy unit they pass through.

That's not even our best option there. Obviously, a spell able to hit several diagonal rows would probably be powerful. However, in our humble opinion, it would lack fun.

Come on, it's a skillshot. We already have Ahri for that. Plus, we would pick Aurelion Sol anyway, because he is a Wild and a Dragon.

W - Pick A Card

Twisted Fate chooses a magic card from his deck, and uses that for his next attack, causing bonus effects.

THAT ONE IS OUR FAVORITE.

MORE RNG IS THE WAY FORWARD.

Could you imagine that? Boom, Twisted Fate casts his Blue Card, inflicting damage, regaining mana. Oh, he just casts again. This time it's the Red Card, aiming at the DPS line. 3 Rangers were crushed in one blow. Look, a Gold Card! And the last Ranger is stunned.

Could you imagine that? Gambling with your Twisted Fate while hoping for the good card.

Another slot machine: shiver me timbers!

E - Stacked Deck (Passive)

Every 4 attacks, Twisted Fate deals bonus damage. In addition, his Attack Speed is increased.

Well, this one would not be that bad at all. However, Pirates already got a Champions with a passive Ability (Graves), so it's very unlikely.

Plus, it would be really boring.

R - Destiny

Twisted Fate predicts the fortunes of his foes, revealing all enemy champions and enabling the use of Gate, which teleports Twisted Fate to any target location in 1.5 seconds.

No one here can imagine that it might actually be a possibility. Do you want a Sorcerer suddenly teleporting behind your opponent frontline while doing nothing except auto-attacking? He's going to get obliterated in two shots.

Even if it's a no mana ability allowing an instant cast at the beginning of the round – which we have not seen yet in TFT – we don't see the point.

Boring, seemingly inefficient – please Riot, don't do that.

7/01 Patch

Thank you Riot Games. You're walking on the right path with Teamfight Tactics. Several patches after the first release on the PBE, one cannot deny the work you put into that game.

Draven was OP. Instant nerf.

Aurelion Sol combined with the (4) Wild and the (3) Sorcerers was SUPER BROKEN. August Browning and his team drew the nerf gun faster than their shadows.

Attack Speed items are OP? Nerf. Shojin Spear & Guinsoo's Rageblade are too strong? Nerf. Morellomonicon becomes unbelievably broken on Garen? Nerf.

It's far too easy to combine Tier 1 units to ★★★ while Tier 2 and Tier 3 droprates seems too low?

Well ...

A New Probabilities Sheet

Tier 2 and Tier 3 units are currently too risky to star-up when compared to Tier 1's. To broaden the pool of champions worth considering, we're increasing the probability of finding Tier 2's and 3's in the shop while reducing the amount of Tier 1's that appear.

Beta Pass

Teamfight Tactics

You waited for it, here it comes!
The Beta Passe that we had the opportunity to discover in the PBE is now available on the live servers! So, get ready to grab your first Little Legend!

As in the classic League of Legends, you will have different missions each week that will allow you to earn points to collect different rewards, such as different boards, emotes and one Little Legend Starter Egg!

Missions will change each week. It may be to play a particular origin or class, create a 2-star champion or simply play several games.

A little tip: it seems that you don't need to literally PLAY the champion of an origin or a class, and that you just need to buy it to make it count in your missions.
