Special Reward in Maddening Mode without NG+
When deploying the update including this new difficulty mode, the developers revealed that completing the game in Maddening Mode without using an NG+ save file (which admittedly makes things much easier) will unlock a new home screen for the game. At the risk of spoiling the surprise, but to avoid disappointment, this is it — only the lighting changes. In other words, you will only ever do this for the challenge it represents, not for the reward.
