Starting at the London Home Series on February 8th, the eight teams that are attending will be split into two groups of four.
The four teams that manage to secure two wins in their respective pools will advance to a single-elimination bracket where they will do battle for the chance to be crowned Home Series champion. Below is how the points will be awarded at each Home Series event:
- 1st - 50 Points + 10 bonus points for winning the event.
- 2nd - 30 Points
- 3rd/4th - 20 Points
- 5th/6th - 10 Points
- 7th/8th - 0 Points
The points earned during the regular season will decide the eight teams that will qualify for the playoffs. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs.
The Wildcards
Along with the eight teams that secured their places in the playoffs, there will be four wildcard spots that will determine the final two teams taking part in the playoffs. The four wildcard teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket, with the two winning teams advancing to the double-elimination playoff bracket, where they will take on the third and fourth seeds respectively.
The top two seeds will get first-round byes when the double-elimination bracket starts. The final two teams will do battle to be crowned the first CDL champions.
