It's finally officially announced! The 11.40 patch will be deployed in Fortnite — after a downtime that will probably last at least an hour. Epic Games told us the good news via its various Twitter accounts dedicated to the game.
Maintenance for patch 11.40 is complete. The servers are available and you can play the game once the patch downloaded.
It's been almost a month since the last update in Fortnite. A record-breaking period of calm for the battle royale, which echoes the new content policy since the deployment of Chapter 2. Version 11.40 will set the stage for Season 2, which is expected to arrive on 6 February. New elements and clues on the lore of this chapter should logically appear. For others, this patch will only contain bug fixes, with the idea that the developers reserve the right to release Season 2 content later.
We're still waiting for this week's update and we may have to look at Pleasant Park once deployed. Strange cracks streak the streets...
