Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare have a prime opportunity to complete their Season One Battle Pass, thanks to a new double XP weekend live now — and which runs until February 11, 2020 at 12pm ET / 9am PT, and is available to all PC, PS4, and Xbox One players.
This double XP weekend applies to general XP, weapon XP and tier XP, so it's the perfect chance for players to collect more rewards before Season 2 gets under way.
Developers Infinity Ward have already released the first teaser for Season 2, which appears to reveal that Simon "Ghost" Riley — one of the main characters in Modern Warfare 2, is about to make his return to the series.
This would be something of a surprise, given Ghost died in Modern Warfare 2, but with this new version of the game being a different entity, anything is possible.
We're yet to find out just what is in Season 2, but it could be that items, maps and scenarios from previous Modern Warfare games are added to play on the nostalgia among the Call of Duty community and build hype.
Either way, we'll find out more on February 11, with Season 2 going live roughly an hour after the double XP event ends. We'll bring you all the news as soon as it drops!
