Thanks to an official tweet, we now know that there will be a minimum of 383 villagers available in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

If we had already a confirmation of a hundred inhabitants a few weeks ago, we now know that no less than 383 villagers will be returning to Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

According to the wording of the tweet, this seems to mean that there will indeed be 383 former villagers (from previous games) returning to Nintendo Switch, but new animals may be appearing, such as the Six revealed in the Direct.
