While G2 Esports victory is still fresh, the European Championship Summer Split for League of Legends will start on June 12!
This season will include two Superweeks during week 1 and week 8, with games from Friday to Sunday. There will also be two breaks of a week, after week 4 (at the end of the first round robin) and after week 8 (at the end of the regular season and before the playoffs). The event program will, therefore, be more flexible.
The final stages, initially scheduled for August 28 and 29, 2020 in Malmö, Sweden will be held on September 5 and 6 (the European Masters finals will also be delayed so as not to overlap on the end of the Split). For the moment, Riot Games hopes to maintain the event in Sweden.
Regarding the holding of matches, Riot Games estimates the day-to-day situation to determine when and how to organize a safe return of the LEC to their studio in Berlin, and how to welcome the public again.
