Information surrounding the latest update for Modern Warfare and Warzone has been released from Activision's "This Week in Call of Duty" blog.
After the addition of new Operator, Ronin, and a free Multiplayer weekend for free-to-play Warzone players, this latest update will see a brand-new weapon joining the ever-expanding weapon arsenal, an update to the Gunsmith, a new master camo and much more!

How to Download
For owners of Modern Warfare, players are required to download an additional patch once the main patch has finished installing. Once the main patch is installed, players must download Data Pack 1 in order to access Multiplayer, Spec Ops and the Campaign.
While it is downloading, players will still be able to play Warzone so drop into Verdansk while it downloads.
Remember to reset the game once the data pack has installed then you are good to go!
New Warzone Contract
The "Most Wanted" contract allows you to activate a bounty on your own head to attract enemies to your location. If you manage to survive the time limit, a cash bonus will be awarded.
Gunsmith Customs
The addition of Gunsmith Customs will enable players to create a range of custom weapons using various elements from different blueprints to create a hybrid weapon blueprint that look completely unique.
New Weapon
The latest weapon coming to Modern Warfare and Warzone is the MK9 Bruen light machine gun that heavily resembles the M249 SAW from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
The new weapon can be acquired by buying the "Encryption" bundle from the store or by completing a brand-new challenge found in the Weapons tab.
New Cosmetic Items
The Pyromaniac bundle is coming to the in-game store including new legendary weapon blueprints, finishing moves and more!
New Weapon Camo
After revealing that a brand-new master camo was arriving to the game soon, the Obsidian camo will be available to earn from in-game challenges for each weapon. Players must have the respective weapon gold before they are able to unlock Obsidian.
New Playlist & Double XP Weekend
After a brief period away, the Shoot the Ship playlist returns! The playlist featuring Shoot House and Shipment 24/7 and several game modes will be available during another Double XP, Double Weapon XP and Double Battle Pass Tier Progression beginning on May 1st until May 4th starting at 10AM PT.
April 28th will see an update where the rest of season 3 content for Modern Warfare and Warzone is expected. Reliable leaker TheGamingRevolution has found the identity of this new weapon that may appeal to some!
