While we recently learned that Special would indeed be promoted from Academy to LEC, Excel confirmed the recruitment of Kryze as their starting toplaner for the Summer 2020 split.
Excel Esports announced that Joran "Special" Scheffer will be promoted from his current position in Academy team BT Excel to the organization's LEC roster as starting midlaner for the upcoming Summer Split 2020.

Last week, Excel Esports was facing its first two offseason changes with the departures of Ki " Expect " Dae-han and Son " Mickey " Young-min. We now learn that the English organization has already found replacements to fill the vacancies.
Expect would be replaced by Felix " Kryze " Hellström, the current toplaner of Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition, an Academy team involved in the German championship.
Meanwhile, Jordan " Special " Scheffer might be promoted from the Academy roster to the LEC's as starting Midlaner.
Excel Esports has ended this Spring Split in 7th place and failed to qualify for Playoffs with their 7-11 record. However, these results are pretty encouraging compared to the 2019 Summer Split where the team was last in the standings.
