Even if there aren't usually that much transfers during the midseason of League of Legends, several trades and moves are still happening.
What started as a rumor eventually proved to be true, and Excel Esports just announced the promotion of Joran "Special" Scheffer. The Dutch player, who used to play in the organization's main roster had joined the Academy lineup as the beginning of the Spring Split 2020 — but he's back on the LEC stage as the team starting midlaner for the upcoming Summer Split.
Excel Esports only achieved mixed results during this spring segment, ending the split in seventh without even qualifying for Playoffs. It remains to be see if the return of Special to the midlane will change anything about the overall team's performance...
