Since the beginning of December, Teamfight Tactics players have been able to discover a new set called Monsters Attack! New synergies, new compositions but above all new champions, the community had to start from scratch like every set. A character stands out, and not for good reasons. Already hated on League of Legends, Yuumi infuriates TFT fans.
Everybody wants the skin of the cat
The guardian of the grimoire is hated by many players who would like to see her disappear, and yet she remains popular (she is chosen in 8% of the games on the MOBA). The champion appeared in TFT with Set 8... and her reputation followed her there. On the auto-battler, the players can't take it anymore either.
In patch 12.23b, the champion received a buff allowing her to cast her ability more often. This, coupled with her high damage output and the fact that she attacks the enemy backline, has made her a key character in many comps.
Operating Yuumi is very simple. You just have to equip it with a Blue Buff, a Precious Gauntlet and a Giant Slayer, and place it well back , behind tanks and pets, just to take advantage of the buff granted by the synergy. Thus, she can eliminate the opponent's most dangerous units in a single hit with her projectile. An extremely frustrating mechanic for many.
The big problem is that many players abuse it (at the risk of scuttling each other); it is an easy and very strong composition in the early game since it works with low hit units. As a result, the same "anti-Yuumi" flourish on the web.
Riot Games will certainly take action against the kitten early next season. It's not good for one comp and especially one champion to monopolize the entire meta.
