Riot Games' communication on social networks is often done directly through its development teams: this is the case with RiotMort for TFT, RiotZiegler for Valorant, and most recently a member of the design team of Vanguard.
Philipp Koskinas has announced on May 12 that no less than 8,873 players have been banned since the beginning of the closed beta. We can easily imagine that there is a very large population of players located in Europe or North America among them, since those regions were almost the only ones eligible for the beta until a few days ago.
Philipp Koskinas' tweet is amusingly written, as it evokes a new world in which 8,873 cheaters are missing, and invites others to "be careful as your bones may've shifted during dimensional travel." The subject is interesting and important, since it announces very high numbers of cheating attempts.
Riot Games has made this anti-cheating system one of its main concerns for Valorant, and will have to be particularly firm on the subject to hope to see the game break through at a competitive level.
It has already caused a lot of problems for players, since it was considered quite intrusive. Since then, Riot Games has communicated on the subject and may still be able to make further progress with weekly patches.
