Amazon's streaming platform is in turmoil after the recent copyright issues. Many streamers have complained that they received warnings from the DMCA "Digital Millennium Copyright Act" for using music. From now on, any use of music that is not free of rights exposes to bans. A major disruption for many streamers, used to broadcasting live music. Even more annoying, the measures seem retroactive. That is, all the old clips can be analyzed and users liable to sanctions.
So what about content inexorably linked to music? On Twitter, many streamers adressed the issue and shared what they think will happen regarding the way they stream. For now, the position of the platform seems ambiguous. In a tweet published today, Twitch said that they were initiating procedures to give "more control over the clips".
In any case, a tricky situation for Twitch, where musical content is greatly represented.
