Unveiled by an unfortunate leak on the Microsoft Store this weekend, Star Wars: Squadrons has been officialy revealed with this new video from Motive Studios and Electronic Arts. In terms of storyline, this new chapter in the extended universe is to be placed after The Return of the Jedi. The game will feature squads of 5 pilots from factions in a galaxy far, far away, no doubt to multiply the points of view in the single player campaign.
After Respawn's efforts last year with Jedi Fallen Order and the great comeback of Star Wars Battlefront 2 thanks to its many free updates, we hope that this new SW game under the leadership of EA will satisfy the many fans of space fights in the universe of Georges Lucas, who have been left behind for many years.
We should learn more about it at EA Play 2020 this weekend anyway. Star Wars: Squadrons will be available on October 2nd on PC (Steam, Origin and Epic Game Store), PS4 and Xbox One. Crossplay between all platforms will be on the agenda and a VR mode will be integrated.
