Since the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 2, the length of the seasons has become an angry subject. Previously accustomed to seasons lasting around 70 days, players had to be patient with the last two episodes of the battle royale — lasting 128 and 118 days respectively.
The good news is that Season 3 is likely to last 71 days. Various dataminers have explained, based on the battle pass and challenge files, that Chapter 2 Season 3 will end on August 27.
71 days of Season 3 remains a low estimate. The plausible option is for Epic Games to start the next season at least one week after August 27, by providing the traditional overtime challenges. For example, FireMonkey pointed out that twelve weeks of challenges were appearing in the files, which would push the end of the season to September 3.
Even extended by a handful of days, Chapter 2 Season 3 would in the end be much shorter than the two previous ones. Keep in mind that these are only estimates based on datamining. Epic Game hasn't yet announced an official date for the end of Season 3.
