Season 4 of Modern Warfare and Warzone is in full swing. The new season which launched on June 10th saw minimal changes take place when it comes to the weapon balance across both Modern Warfare and Warzone.
In Multiplayer, the M4A1 Assault Rifle and the MP5 sub-machine gun have reigned supreme since the game launched back in October while in Warzone, the GRAU 5.56 AR has dominated the metagame thanks to its high damage output and minimal recoil at long range.
In a recent post on Twitter, Joe Cecot, multiplayer design director at Infinity Ward, has revealed that the next wave of weapon tuning is in the works and will be coming in the mid-season update.
An exact date for the mid-season update has yet to be revealed but with the season starting on June 10th, the update can be expected to launch at some point in July.
This batch of tuning has been heavily requested, especially in Warzone where the GRAU currently sits in a class of its own above every other weapon within the battle royale.
