Teams will be seeded in each region based on their records over the regular season with a series of tiebreakers applied if necessary. Higher seeds in each region enjoy significant advantages including byes and choice of opponent for the first rounds of the bracket and selection of the first map throughout.
The playoffs open with single-elimination play-in matches among the lowest seeded teams to earn their spots in a double-elimination playoffs bracket. After two weeks of playoffs, we’ll be down to the final four teams—the top two from both North America and Asia.
The final four teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, with two teams advancing to the Grand Finals to compete for the league championship. In order to have all four teams compete on the same server, the two North America teams will travel to Asia.
Bracket
All matches will be first-to-three maps wins, with the exception of the Grand Finals, which is first-to-four maps.

Grand Finals
The four teams who survive the playoffs in Asia and North America will compete for the title in a double-elimination tournament over the weekend of the final, October 8-10. The three-day event will begin with a match between the second team from Asia and the first from North America.
To allow the teams to travel safe, a few weeks of rest/training will take place between the playoffs and the Grand Finals. Some changes may occur if the League deems that such travel poses a health risk to the players. Thus, the two finalists from each region will play a series of games to crown one champion per region for the 2020 Season.
Once the championship is over, the 2020 T-Mobile OWL MVP will be awarded to the best player of the match.
