After the Call of Duty League revealed that it would be reverting to a 4v4 format, further changes to the structure of the league have been revealed.
It has been announced that the CDL will be switching to a PC and controller format for professional play. All CDL 2021 matches will be played on PC, with all players using a league-approved controller.
Challengers moves to crossplay
It's not just the top level of play that has undergone change. The Challengers division has transitioned to a format which enables both console and PC players to compete.
Like professional play, players will have to use a controller with mouse and keyboard being restricted.
Challengers tournaments that take place online will be played on PC, with players using a controller.
Alongside platform changes to amateur competition, there will be dedicated broadcasts throughout the new season. More information surrounding 2021 Challengers is set to come out in the coming weeks.
