I'm very excited for the tournament to begin, and just as excited for play-ins as I am for Group play. I think the 2 play-in groups/pools are fairly equal in strength. MAD (EU) and Liquid (NA) must be front-runners in pool 1, and I think they will match up very close. MAD finished the summer split 1 win short of 1st place in regular season. Liquid finished 1st (summer) in regular season. I give MAD the edge, because they consistently play higher quality teams (G2, FNC, RGE), and were the first team to beat G2 in a best-of-5 in the LEC playoffs. It's my EU bias coming out, I'll admit. TL are multiple LCS champions, and they have a lot of international XP. I think Group 2/Pool 2 will see LGD winning, but anything can happen at World's. As an LOL fan, this is the time of year we all get excited for!! And I can't wait to see what happens!! Go LEC go!!
