These are the roles you'll play in Pokémon Unite, a new MOBA-style collaboration with Tencent. Details of how abilities and evolutions will work have been revealed, with a style that mirrors the main series.
In Pokémon Unite, players will assume one of five roles as they do battle for victory, see a progress system that sees you acquire new moves every two levels and evolutions
Roles
Like all games in the genre, there are roles for each hero — and Pokémon Unite is no exception to this rule.
Here are the different roles currently planned for the game.

Gameplay
As for the moves, there are both short range and long range attacks. Pokémon will learn moves every two levels, with players able to choose one attack per attack group (basic and powerful).
The basic attack you have at the start will instantly be replaced by your third attack obtained. If your Pokémon reaches Level 9, it will learn the Unite ability (a kind of ultimate attack) to replace its third ability.
Pokémon can become more powerful by evolving:
To evolve once, a creature must reach Level 5;
In the event of a second possible evolution, this will take place at Level 7.
Pokémon will appear on the map at certain times. Among them, you will find creatures such as Moltres or various 8th Generation Pokémon.
You'll also find items synonymous with the series, such as Rare Candy or Sitrus Berries.
