Psyonix unveiled a few days ago that Rocket League will be free on the Epic Games Store as of September 23. To celebrate the news, a brand new event has just been announced: Llama Rama.
It's basically a Rocket League x Fortnite crossover event during which you'll be able to earn exclusive in-game rewards. What is interesting is that there will be cosmetics for both games — without knowing exactly what it will be in the battle royale.
Regarding Rocket League, players will have to play matches to complete challenges in order to get Llama-Rama-themed items — such like the Llama Flyer Antenna or the Battle Bus. A simple but effective system.
Challenges
- Play an online match in any playlist — (Llama Flyer Antenna)
- Win 1 online match in casual with the Llama Flyer Antenna — (Top Llama Topper)
- Get 5 goals, saves, or assists with the Top Llama Topper — (Loot Llama Decal)
- Win 5 online matches in any playlist with the Loot Llama Decal — (Llama Wheels)
- Get MVP in any online match with the Llama Wheels — (Battle Bus)
Knowing that it's to celebrate the fact that Rocket League becomes free-to-play, players won't have to spend a dollar to enjoy the event. Something to make players want to play the popular vehicular soccer video game.
The event will begin on September 26 at 3:00 PM PT through October 12.
