Fall has arrived since September 1 on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The leaves on the trees have turned red, and players can now go on acorn and pine cone hunting to craft awesome seasonal items. Now that summer is over and the fall season is a reality in real life (September 21), players are wondering when will Nintendo finally announce the long-awaited new content.
Nintendo's teasing
If events have already started to celebrate the season on the Animal Crossing Pocket Camp mobile game, two pieces of information have caught the attention of players.
- An image (instagram) presenting some fall items on Pocket Camp, but above all a Halloween event starting on October 10!
- An official press release from September 21 on the Nintendo Canada site.
What to expect
In short, this update will potentially be as big as the one this summer, except that it will feature special in-game events! We can then expect:
- A seasonal event for Halloween (a bit like Easter) where you will have to collect candies and exchange them at Jack'O Lantern for special items
- New seasonal items at the NookStop and the Nook Shop
- The potential return of a Thanksgiving event: the Harvest Festival with Franklin
- Theory: why not the arrival of cooking on Animal Crossing? Pumpkin, fruits, acorns, flowers, fish... They could be used to make good little dishes to offer to our favorite inhabitants, right?
- Small events like we had in May with the wedding season.
Anyway, we will have new information on this very soon.
And you, what are you waiting for?
